My original battery was dying, so this replacement laptop battery was a much cheaper alternative to the cost of an original replacement ThinkPad A31P battery. It is quite a lot lighter than the original battery, which is due to the fact that the capacity of this battery is lower than the Lenovo original (the original claims 5.2AH and this one is 4.4AH), so it is not going to restore the battery life of my T61 to its length when new, but for the low price it is certainly worth it and I get 2+ hours out of it, which is all I was hoping for
Bit worried ordering this as it was so cheap, but was very impressed when I popped it into the back of my laptop. No complaints from the laptop of a non standard battery and it seems to be working fine. Thought I'd end up splashing out 5 times as much on a battery for a Lenovo so really really happy with this purchase - a real bargain. Fits well too - no wobble, like the Lenovo 3000 G530M Battery it replaced.
Generic replacement VGP-BPS2 Battery for my old Sony laptop. PC recognized it immediately in the system tray's battery icon, showed percentage and charging ok. I guess will last about a year, to my experience thats how long generic replacement batteries hold!
